Silver And Gold - What The Wealthy Buy by Dennis Beaman
Have you ever wondered what the wealthy are buying these days? With all the uncertainty about the world's economic future right now, there are still families near where I live that are building new homes and buying new vehicles. As long as those purchases are not being financed long term, there should not be any worry, right? Chances are many of these people are not wealthy though, because I know some of them and they are like many middle class families in that they will purchase whatever they need as long as they still have a paycheck coming in. The wealthy, on the other hand, have a different mindset.
I'm sure you've read or heard of some of the more famous wealthy individuals that are or have been buying gold and silver: Robert Kiyosaki, Warren Buffett, Jim Rogers and Bill O'Reilly just to name a few. That's because the wealthy have a habit of purchasing "appreciating assets" with their money while the middle class usually incur more expense buy buying things that may not be essential, at least not NEW homes and cars.
You see, the reason those with a wealthy mindset will purchase assets that have a high liklihood of going up in value in the future during these times is so they will have the ability to purchase other assets in the future that are dirt cheap. For instance, if gold goes to $5000 an ounce as some are predicting, it won't take but a handful of coins to buy all kinds of real estate that will be going for pennies on the dollar. That is how empires are built during a depression. Those people with money (in the form of precious metals) will stand the best chance of prospering during real tough times.
If you have saved $100 dollar bills in a fruit jar buried in the back yard, you may not have any value left in those dollars and consequently, you would be no better off than someone with no money. That is the real draw of accumulating the precious metals right now, especially while many people can afford them. Waiting a year or two to start might be a little late.
